what the funk?

Went for a razz yesterday around a 4x4 experience with mates, the temp kept going very close to the red so i had to stop quite a lot. I've never had it that hot before, it does go a bit warmer when i ride slow speed so i did think it might be that as i wasn't going fast but then coming home doing about 60 it flew up to hot.
When i washed it off i noticed that the expansion tank was empty, it was full before i went (checked bike over before i went). I topped it up, went to work on it this morning and its empty again disbeliefbleh as far as i know there isn't a leak so looks like my head gasket has blown nono not ideal when im skint and im waiting for fork seals for my banditdoh. Any way on to the reason of the thread, my fooking rad cap won't come off ? Won't turn at all the rad shouldn't be pressurised now surely haven't rode it for 3 hours?
Might as well do a top end rebuild when i get the head off, according to last owner it hasn't had a rebuild and im at 18'000 miles so it hasn't done bad.

Sounds good.

Yeah your head gasket is blown lol defo.

Maybe this is why youve been having random problems. My fooking radiator cap wouldnt come off. I know it sounds stupid but i tried everything.. drilled the bolt out it pissed me off so much.. it doesnt even need a lock? Why put one on there lol?

If its got very hot it could have warped the head aswell. Its defo the head gasket tho.

Check if you have water dripping from out by the side stand when you run the bike.

Doing a top end rebuild seems like a good idea aswell if its done 18,000 and not had one!

What about tapping it lightly with a hammer or somthing all the way round the cap, might just dislodge it?

yeh i removed that little bolt and metal thing, had a go at turning it myself and it moved about 1/6th of a turn back and forth and i couldnt get it to go anymore, so i called him over and he just grabbed it and twisted back and forth a few times and it moved a little further each time untill eventually he could pull it up and out.

I tried removing the bolt and the metal catch thing.. rounded the bolt in 2 attempts (Cheese bolts tut tut) so i drilled it out and off.. turned straight around afterwards.. was fine
