i have the chain go up and over still but with the padlock on the footrest bracket and the chain so they can't get anything in there to try and pry it, also has a 120db alarmed disc lock so shouldn't be going anywhere

Done a fair bit more to this now:

-full powervalve assembly

-twostroke pump and gears removed and 32:1 premix, blanked off with a clutch case breather

-new cover made where the pump was with clear window( though has nice stainless bolts instead of the mankey ones i used to initally put it together for the picture)

-rev counter drive also removed and replace with a breather

-rear brake master cylinder remounted next to battery behind side panel

-made a engine breather collecter which routes a single pipe back to the airbox to stop water being able to be sucked into the engine when it cools after offroading, it uses a clear brake reservoir so i can see any signs of oil pressure problems, its 3 pipes in the bottom one out the top

-spannie matched to exhaust gasket and the exhaust port matched to suit

-the 28mm tdr carb has been overbored to 30mm now running a 380 main jet

-inlet manifold matched to carb and some porting

-upper reed stop windowed to improve boost port flow

-Powervalve bobbin raised and matched to port, also ground alot off the back so it has clearance on the oversize piston

-windowed tax disc holder intergrated into the rad panel

-standard clocks replaced with a small digital speedo with cable run in the gaters

-Inner tube bags front and back

-Motrax bar ends

-Twin bates headlights

-Ally end can (pretty sure its a old skool dep)

-Rear mudguard brace

-Recovery handles front and back

-Wheel bobbins (rears done still working on the front as i have to drill the axle for it)

-Aluminium number plate

will take a few more photos and stick em on

Also been doing alot of work on my next top end, its +2mm (133cc) ,taken back the scavenge to tzr 250 'sp' spec which lines up nicely with a 4fu base gasket and got a piston with a correct size skirt to suit (wider gap on the scavenge basically), taken all the defects out of the casting, reshaped and blended the front legs for good flow off the reeds and good opposite flow to the boost port. just need to finish up the exhaust flow, improve the port map a tad and get another head to match up and set the squish band on that.

had 110 mph out of it (44mm carb, long stroke etc following the supermono tune) probably could have got a tad more but never played around with tall sprockets for long as used it alot offroad, not too hard to convert them to electric start (if you can weld) or you can just set a armstrong up properly so its easy to kickstart but 99% of their riders club seem to fail at managing that! lol, stick with the dtr, with a bit of work they are a way better bike

rd as in yamaha twostroke? would be a bit of a waste putting that in a mt 350! with the porky ole frame on them things, would be pimp in the dt though, been thinking about using a tzr 250 engine as similar top end to what we have exept two of them! making spannies to fit is the challenge with that though

the tzr's a twin, i did build a suzuki x7 (250 twostroke twin) and styled it like a armstrong, put the front end on it, tank and seat, far lighter but looked the part, the mt's frame is like putting a rd engine onto a pylon lol!

how shes lookin now, the paints getting a bit ratty now but guna be a while till i can be bothered to strip it again, probs go for a powder coat next time.  got a set of oxford heated grips on it now, they are awesome! ridden so many winters without them lol also managed to squeese a second radiator on there from a wr 200, definatly needed as gassing it down the duel carriage way when late for work it gets way too hot!

latest pic of the bike together after a hard years abuse, gave it a good go over a while ago and got it through another mot with no advisories this time.

(look like i''ve got a right beer gut lol, ran out of room in the bags so had stuff jamed in my leather as well)

though recently it developed a evil vibration in the powerband and i was convinced the crank was shot  so started stripping the bike down and found that actually even though all the engine mount bolts were tight and still locktited in position the engine had worn sideways on its mounting points and eventually some up and down play!! even on the swing arm mount which was holding the swingarm properly in place still. so once again my bike is a bare frame looking sorry for itself lol

didn't plan on it this time but going to give it another makeover, got the frame and engine at a engineers getting top hat bushs made for the engine mounts to take up all the play that developed. will be alot more durable than the origional holes straight through the aluminium crank cases.

Also getting a barrel rebored that i had done a bit of work on the transfers but sadly hadn't found time for a full port on it as its needed now as 8000miles of ragging the bike (mainly cus i suck at getting out of bed on time for the commute to work lol) has left the piston pretty worn out.

I know everyone on here says big one pipes suck but went into the bike shop to ask about getting just a end can for one and turned out they had one old stock and pretty much let me have a full system for the price of a can so thought i'd give it a go.

Got some proper enamel paint to redo the orange on the frame this time (warehouse orange), not ready to powdercoat it yet as may be making some future mods to the frame (pannier rack mounts and possibly a detachable sidecar yeah i know sounds craZy but got rid of the car and use this everyday and miss being able to haul around bigger stuff!). and the least exciting part of every rebuild i think its about time to sort out the wiring loom as its had alot of additions and so many unused connectors its grown out of control...

Made a start on the parts that aren't at the engineers, first up is the seat which isn't too bad from when i last recovered it except for a bulge in the front and a couple of creases at the rear. so took the front off and cut the foam to suit, then took the rear off put a patch on it and restretched the vinyl to remove the creases as best as possible, deffo not the easiest material to work on a seat shaped like this but not looking too bad now.

then thought i'd get the rad guards off to respray them...found the brackets to bolt them on were semi mullered and the screws seriously rusted up, (one of the few things left that havn't been apart). Since the brackets were unuseable i cut them back and have attempted to get creative on it as seems a total waste to get a new radiator for the sake of a silly little plastic guard.

Next I cut out a plate of aluminium with holes to attach the guard to

Then dug around the garage, was hoping for liquid metal but the best i came across was grab adhesive

Guna tidy it up when its set, bit of a gamble as to whether the grab adhesive will work with the heat from the rad but fingers crossed

I do love them headlights on the bike but what a pain to fit! had to drill and rivet mounts onto the lights so they'd fit onto the lugs on the top yoke where the speedo and rev counter went and get the mounts spot on so the lights would be at the right angle! think I may have to make a extra brace for them as they have a hard life mounted like that and can loosen the rivets over time.

a small update on what i've done which isn't alot as the engineer still hasn't finished the engine mounts :s sprayed the panels and tank which have come out fairly good despite mamoth amounts of sanding, spraying and resanding etc deffinatly not my area of expertise which is why I normally pansie out and go matt black as its hard to make it look bad lol

also made a cover for the airbox roof, tuning for slightly less power atm and trying to claw back some fuel economy as origionally I didn't plan on doing quite so much mileage on the bike! in theory this and a couple of other bits i plan to do should increase the velocity of air flow giving a better signal to the jets so could actually work better with the tdr carb as I was getting to the point of running over a 400 main jet which is rediculous...in theory anyhow lol

another bit that looks grim but its hidden under the seat so not too fussed and guna give it a tidy up when its set

finally some progress on this, the engineer took so long i almost forgot i had a bike lol in the end just got the frame and cases to take a oversize bolt for the front mount and bushs for the swingarm that go right through the cases rather than just the standard washers.
Got the frame sprayed up in a colour that hopefully wont fade in a few months with about a million coats of paint and laquer!
