ask at halfrauds or a bike shop, lots of different types of spark plug, would keep to same size and heat rating unless your runing a really tuned engine, probs won't really notice a difference though

I dont think id trust anyone in halfrauds to tell me if it was raining or not if they were standing in the carpark!
im not expecting any power gains etc, I just wanted to know why the KTM uses an iridium and the DTR doesnt, and would it have a longer life and produce a more efficient spark.
As I earlier explained, appologies if I had it wrong, I was going off reference of the trusty haynes (page 94), and my local Yamaha dealer, which stated a BR9 is recomended for the DT.
