Really sorry if this has been covered before, did a quick search but not a lot came up. Had a few problems with my 2 stroke pump sticking on fully open, lots of smoke drinking oil! Been looking at getting a new but not sure I trust it anymore, how easy is it to convert the DT to premix, is there anything mechanically that needs doing? What do you do with the pump, can you remove it and blank it? Also guessing ill need to blank the oil feed nipple on the carb? Any help, advise would be great. Thanks in advance.
easy way is to leave the pump on, and just disconnect the pipe and plug the hole or the harder way but still easy is to take the casing off and remove the shaft and make a blanking plate out of Aluminium like this. as for ratio start with about 32:1 but no less than 40:1

Cheers Winkle, your motor is looking really good, never thought of doing that, should be easy enough. Could bin the tank and everything then; short out the sensor (or remove bulb!) What did you use to blank the carb?
I made a whole new manifold so that I could angle the carb the other side of the shock to fit a k&n cone filter but I do tend to take the difficult route. you could squirt some instant gasket in the hole and put in a short screw.

Have you tried this manifold? How does it perform? I have a `97 KTM Sting with this DT-engine and with a somewhat cracked rubber manifold, and would consider making my own, approx like yours.
