and found this must be a performance piston as its a smooth hole defo not been drilled



If you've recently bought a Wiseco piston for a two stroke with an exaust bridge you'll probably read in the instructions about drilling lubrication holes in the piston to help lubricate the exhaust bridge.
Without these holes the front of the piston and the cylinder wall will tend to get starved of premix oil causing excessive heat and wear at these points, and in extreme cases causing the piston to seize in the cylinder. Even with the holes drilled, you'll probably see a bit of wear on the front of a piston which has a few hours on it - there will be a worn down flat area on the piston where it lines up with the exhaust bridge.

i dont see how a plated barrel with a forged piston could cause more problems than the stock out dated steel linerd barrel

i have heard and buy the looks of the the porting on the athena barrels as on the reliabilty side more than proformance

That is a smart job on the clean up senda, what did you use to get them looking like that?

few more little updates as snowig so limited to what i can do now lol so decided to put exhaust on engine and try get angle right for the exhaust as different on the derbi frames

Paint your exhaust senda, it's lookin abit funky or are you changing it. Spoils the look of the engine now it's all clean :)

snow, yeah been hearing about that, absolutely zip down by me (bournemouth). Just raining stupid amounts which is a bum as I was hoping to get out this weekend for a play if it was going to be dry.

Just a question senda, how where you gonna go about doing your frame before you decided not to?

could you re-paint the whole frame with that then, mine needs doing as rust has appeared in certain places from where the previous owner kept it outside. I can't decide the best way to get it done - when i do eventually get round to stripping it that is
