Also rang collin appleyard today (local yam dealer) and asked for the plastic part for the front, the silly woman said, sorry im not sure what your on about, i asked her to fax me the diagram and i would highlight the part and fax it back and she started saying how they pay loads for the diagrams so are not willing to fax them about. erghh.

took my cover off again and put a 10mm on the bolt to turn it, it turns with a bit of resistance, but i think this is the servo rarther than the P.V. its in no way stuck.

there is like a 4 pin square connecter coming off the servo which is still connected, however there are 2 flat/rectangle connecters, i think one has 4 pins and the other has 2, these aren't connected to anything, not sure if they should be...

i really need to get the tank off to have a proper look but i only brought a 10mm home and some allen keys from work.
How to i take the tank off?

Yes that has been snapped, should look like this:

P1110296.JPG

To take the tank off Jack, you need to first remove the seat - look underneath and you'll see two bolts. The tank is secured by one bolt towards the bottom, remove this and also remove the fuel line to the fuel tap on the tank. Don't forget to turn the tap off or you'll have fuel p*ss eveywhere. Even when off a small amount may still dribble out so have a paper towel ready or something.

You should be able lift the tank off now :)

Hi Jack, here is a link to the site I use, this is the page for the YPVS.

It's for my 2002 DT but should be the same or just scrole to the year for your bike.

ahhh thats abit of an easier website to use.

The bolt you can see when you open the cover looks like it just goes into the centre of the PV, how do i know it its lined up when i put it back on? is there a dowel or something?

Some of them prices are criminal!

Yep it does, the bolt in the middle screws into the center. It just secures the pulley to the PV. When you come to replace it take a look at this:

http://www.activeboard.com/forum.spark?aBID=66365&p=3&topicID=31675034

Tells you how to set up the PV so it is aligned, doesn't take too long to do. The hole in the pulley just needs to match up with the hole in the casing.

Just thinking about it, that bolt is normally removed by sticking something like a drill bit though the pulley to hold it in place whilst you turn the bolt with a spanner. As yours has snapped off if you get a spanner to it, you'll find it will just want to turn the PV and not actually come off.

Remove the cap on the opposite side of the PV, inside is an allen bolt. Just stick an allen key in it, hold it in place and use a spanner or socket to undo the bolt holding the pulley. If i'm not making sense it will all become apparent when you get round to it.

Hope this helps matey.

Is your battery ok Jack? as that can affect the working of the servo even with the engine running.

Is it normal that when the bike is still cold, i turn the choke off, and the bike carrys on running fine, but then as soon as i give it some throttle it cuts out... seems strange.

got some castrol tts, but im not sure whats in there atm and i dont want to mix it :/

Haha, a girl dropped it twice on my cbt. She was going far too slow lol.

Yeah I know, its so funny, just got scared of the speed :S My brother does the same, jumped off a round a bout because it was going too fast, got quite hurt, must have really hurt jumping from the bike lol.

3rd CBT haha, I cant be arsed with paying the same (around) to have a cbt, and not take the test, i only passed my car test in september so im just gonna go straight for it, mod 1 then mod 2 a few days after.. the mod 1 might not be around by the time I take my test anyway!
