hey all just bought a yamaha yz125 which is road legal :) bonus lol more pics will be up soon just need to put plastics on then this project will begin just like the derbi senda project i had which is a rolling frame at moment pics will be posted tomoz

any 1 know any good sites for graphics for my yz ? wanna supermoto it now got sum nice anodised blue rethal bars for it so far and just had to order new piston 1.00mm over size life is fun lol

what u think ?? should i lower compression so can use it on road and last longer or keep as normal with tuned top end

Id gear it up a little more, and run a good 2 stroke oil , at a good ratio. Probly get a month on the top end using it every day. But you will probly need to re build every 2-3 months. Bit pointless for every day use.

ye thats cool got it dirt cheap so i dont mind as its sweet once rebuilt it will be back on the road gonna mess about with sum sprocket sizes see what happens

decided silver dont look good so gone with black glosee frame and silver swing arm will put more pics up in next day or so as just rebuilding engine at moment and honing the cylinder for new piston which is a modified dt125r piston so will last longer as not as much compression which is better for road use just recieved sum nice yamaha decals for swing arm too in blue and a rear braided hose to match front one anyway keep looking for new pics

all i done is curved the bottom of the piston so does not hit on the bottom of the case but works perfect and rings dont catch on any ports :)

Cool , but the whole point in that engine is so it revs nuts, If it doesnt , then the pipe might cause problems, maybe . ... good luck

it will be ok done it on a few bikes now just lowers the take off speed which i dont want really as faster take off will nack the piston again lol and cheers about the graphics mate

got any pictures of the piston and stock dt pistons are ****e

dont se how a piston made for 30hp and 10k+ revs is less reliabull than a dt piston thstta desinds to be at 8k and alot les power probaly under 22

ill post sum pics tomoz mate just getting everything else done lol and many forums said anything with 2 piston rings will last alot longer than single ring like the style of the yz compared to dt so will be alot better once all done
