Not posted here for a while,hope everyone is well.
Is anybody running their bike with the dash reedswitch taken off?
Ive fitted a vapor dash so have no reedswitch but was wondering if there is any resistance running through it to the CDI before it hits the 60mph limiter.
Some people have said earth one of the wires,some people say dont diconnect it just tape it and move it away.Has anyone tried these different ways and found better results.

i just cut it off have done with every dt with tht style loom

Its totally off now,just wandered if anyone has tried with and without the switch and noticed any difference.

Dragging an old thread up here. Sorry but could go with done guidance really to the op question. If there is no signal ie if you disconnect wire from loom will it still retard speedo? Does the Rees switch also affect engine revs??
