Okay, so i talked to the local mc shop, They would overhaul my crank for 75 pounds, And charge 45 for balancing it and stuff, BUT, They also had a all new crank which has recently been overhauled which is from a Sachs xct, the older ones who came with two stroke dt engines, THey would trade this crank against my crank, and then i paid 140 pounds in between.

Sounds like a good deal, 20 pounds more, but i dont have to wait for them to overhaul my old crank.

Hehe, Lucky you then, THeres two shops i buy my mc parts from, one of them are ****ing expensive and rarely have any parts for 125cc or just dont bother to look for parts for engines that small, they really dont care about the customer if your buying something that costs under 1000 pound.

Then theres this shop im getting this deal at wich i love, nice people, and the seller there seems to be in love with the dt engines, So hes pretty nice, and hes really helpfull when it comes to any problems.

140 pund for a new crank i think is a good deal, i live in norway btw, so the prices may be a bit different because of that too.

When i had the tzr crank done, it went to PJME , for me to send it it there, and them to send it back, work completed, was 100 quid. Thats a true up, and new conrod/bearing. Which is`nt too bad of a price.

orite lads

ive just taken the head and barrel off my bike and the small end had a little play but the conrod moves side to side

it does have a slight amount of play up and down so i am going to change the crank, conrod and all bearings

but is it normal for it to move side to side?

Yeah, the sideways play doesent matter. Aslong as you dont feel like holding the gear stick on a car when your holding your small end xD.

Btw. How long have you been driving with this ? and how was your piston looking ?. i had some freeplay. Seized alot of cyllinders and pistons. has a 170cc now. the piston on it had some wear marks on the inlet side and exhaust side. At the same place as all of my pistons seized.

Does yours have the same ?.

i bought it and it didnt have no rattles what so ever.

got the bike in road worthey condition and been sruggling to get it running right and its developed a bit of a tapping in the top end, only when its cold and its got an airleak at the right hand main seal so thats the reason its getting stripped. checked the little end bearing and it defo needs changing. ive got a haynes manula so ill check the crank and see if its still in servicable condition

pistons got a layer of carbon on top and a little on the sides going down just past the rings, its got tiny scratches on top and bottom, looks like its scored but cant really feel them. same as your describing.

it was the same when i changed rings pitbike but that didnt have any play at all.
