fitting a servo ?

hello all, i have recently purchased a servo and the box with the wires going into it, my dt is a 1990 so what i am asking is what do i need to use it on my dt ? newer wiring loom or a newer cdi unit ? if so as anyone got these for sale ?

got a full loom and cdi mate from 2000 model 30 for both with postage

30mm mikuni carb
full power cdi
power valve fully open

so basicly i swtich the wire loom and cdi over and connect the ypvs to the new loom? is it that simple ?

I think the voltage regulators might be a different fitting. Got the same problem meself . Lined up our bike (which does not have the loom connection for a servo motor) with mates bike that does and with both seats off the voltage regulators are different.

do you reckon i should just leave the powervalve fully open and save the hassel ? i just dont know what to do.

How many wires does your servo have? 3 or 5?

There servo is from a 1999 dt And comes with the control box.
idk how many wires as it is at my workshop at the moment :/

your loom will be for a wire servo.. count the wires coming from it .. if its 3 there will be 2wires in to the block connector and 1 lose wire connect it up and turn ur ignition on and listen to see if u can hear it open and close
