Got my job sorted and with job comes some £££ so why not spend it on something that will last biggrin

I like my DT as it is but I'm little funny about things like motorcycles, specially my motorcycles, I like them quick and done up furious

On every friday I should be gettin paid that means new bits for the bike, so far on the bike I got an Full DEP Exhaust and Front Excel rim (21") 

I made an quick list of parts that I want to get for my DT, parts that are in BOLD are parts that I need help & advise with:

New Excel Rim for rear
New Off Road but road legal tires
New Battery
New Air Filter
New Sprockets & Chain
Bigger Carb
Racing Jets
New Brake Pads
New Headlight
New Enduro show number plates
New Gear Oil
New Wheel Bearings (front & rear)
New Brake Fluid
New Indicators x4
New Sparkplug
New Swing Arm Bearings
New Fork Seal Savers/Socks


And a list of things that I want to do to the bike:

1- Take it apart
2- Clean it out
3- Re-Spray the frame (black)
4- Spray the Yokes (black)
5- Spray the Swing Arm (black)
6- Tint the rear lens
7- Spray the Forks (black)
8- Do a full service
9- Fit new bits and bobs
10- Fit it all together

(every time I do a bit on my bike, I will mark it done in this post)

Is there any other performance parts that are worth buying for an DT125R 2003 that will make it quicker as well as more durable and more suitable for off roading?
and also by any chance does any one know if Frame Guard & Skid Plate would fit it?

good tyres: michelin ac 10http://www.michelin.co.uk/motorcycles/michelin-ac10
chain n sprockets: loads of options m8 lol
think the bigger carb was the flat slide mikuni VM26SS "88 to "04 (somone to confirm plz)
racing jets: u should be up jetted anyway for ur dep pipe i would leave as is unless u got running problems
gear oil : i use rock oil was told that this was good stuff by a bike techie that has envolement with bsb racing wink
ur bikes looking quite mint m8 very nice biggrin

Nice mate...right I would do this mate;

Maxxis tyres (very stubbaly haha)
DiD sprocket and chain
don't get a bigger carb mate, up-jet if you need to and get race reed's (carbon reed's)
and for gear box oil, I use Silkolene or Putoline (don't know if they are spelt righ haha)

nice long list you got the lol

tyres i got maxxix enduro there brilliant and there road legal
sprokets and chain loads of different ones
carb - no sure
jets - not sure


as for the bash gaurd have a look underneath to see if you have 2 fixing holes for it if not then im sure there will be another way to fix it on the same for the frame protectors

That's great, thanks guys.
As for the tyres I will go for AC10, they look like they like to dig the fields :D

And no, I don't have any running problems, however from my experience carbs give hell alot of difference, when I fitted 26mm carb on my RX from an 17mm carb my top speed went up by almost 10mph that's why I'm thinking about installing an slightly bigger carb.

they are good tyres m8 my dad uses them on his xr400 n he says they are exellent ill be getting some soon as i got the money

what carb u got on there atm? any pics?

TBH, no idea, haven't really touch the engine yet however I do know that previous owner done couple tweaks, do you know if them tyres wear out quickly?

dont no about thew ac10s but the maxxis one last for ages have just changed mine done around 4000miles on the rear the front is still got load left

Hmmm, well price will decide then cause from what I read both tyres are great and front's always last ages, specially when the front wheel is in the air most of the time, also a good way to reduce the millage lol

he hasnt had them that long but if they are road lega i would of thought there are quite a med/hard compound for good road use depends on how much road u ride raelly? and as for the carb m8 jus get a pic of it n we can tell u staright away wat one u got  smile

Also I forgot to add, does any one know where I can buy a full kit of bults, nuts, and screws for the DT?
I had a look but no luck so far.

Sorry for no update, been working alot.

Yesterday I was trying to start up the bike however the bike wouldn't start, has spark, fuel/oil & air but it still wont start up, I take out the spark plug and is wet, change the spark plug - give it a kick and still nothing, I once more check the spark plug and is wet again, what could the problem be?

Quick Update:

Got couple more bits done, still too busy with my other bike however I'm selling my Aprilia RX50 in couple of days and that will leave me with £500 for parts for the DT.

Got the engine running nicely and POW, lost my keys :'(
