I sort of know stafford, bmw garage area. Hope you get your bike sorted, if it is going to be allot of money for you to spend ill see if my dad will let me look at it at mine for you, while your here. (if you can get over)
Cheers m8 that would be bangin if it came to it. Im pretty determined tho im on it tryin to make the thing work everyday all day. may well take a look in the head myself, cant trust this dodgy mechanics word that hes checked it really thanks m8
I just had a word with the old man and he said it is a 99.9% chance it is the piston and we could do it, it could add upto about 300, new sleeve(around 100 quid), piston(20-30),gaskets(aint got a clue) and larbour would only be around 80 to hundred quid.
If you really get stuck in the **** drop me a personal message.
do ya really think it could be nailed cos when the bike went it was smooth the powervavle felt scary enough . it was sat idleing fine then just died dint start again. even when i stalled it up the lane it kicked up fine.
If it is running for £180 then could be worth a try, keep the old one for spares or even do the piston etc when you have the cash, then you have a spare running engine if the £180 one breaks.
worth a try m8 hey 1st ill check the piston out as you said though tomorrow. an fit the kill switch, flywheel, pickup coil, ignition coil an carb iv got coming already lol. cheers fella
Had another go today on it had to give it a tow again though then it started easy enough. i enjoyed it today its just the having to give it 4 or 5 k to pull off is needs sorted i got the new kill swich an flywheel on today the compresion tester came but i think its faulty it read 0 psi but the bike goes this air screw was wound in max iv only got it out so far till the carb threads knacker up so it wont come out anymore. i think this new carb will sort it.
dont rip all the head off if you dont need to. Try the carb fist its the easiest and cheapest, mine had all the problems yours is having and i too couldnt get the mixture screw out but when i did there was no seals on it so it was fooked.Got a genuine one from yammy all sorted.if you cant get the screw out get a carb all day long off ebay, have you tried the 210 jet jet??
Need a flat plate for a dt carb the bit with a working airmix screw desperatly. my new carb off ebay is broke off like my old one now i have 2 usless carbs . not avin no luck with this bike at all
Hang on... I feel like I have seen this thread before.... lol Tripr, have you tried sending a PM to the chap on 125ccsportsbikes.com? He probably hasn't seen your post, click on his username and bang a message through, more likely to get a reply!

Hello m8 thanks for that Yeah im usually just strugglin away on my own. feels like im getting close now. but i need the bike runnin an starting well to use as an everday commuter i need it to start as easy as my bucket of bolts lifan lol ( its never let me down thought as much as i slate it )
Well if you have a spark , fuel down the plug hole compressin no starty
Then its one thing , and one thing olny , your top gasket ring one , its gone letting collant / water on the spark plug .If you warm the plug up and it started , the hotter you get the bike the more it will start as the engine gets hotter letting the water brun of the plug.
Once its cold, the water/collant will not go away , and thats your no starting .
divhead geeza i got it off had put the piston in backwards i feel i right idiot now i trusted him sayin it had a new piston put in it so i never looked in there word of advise trust nobody lol
Not exactly m8 1st i got 2 of them tried changing the engines out now knackered my swingarm bolt off the bike i want so gave up an i tried the barrel an piston off the offroader an it fired right up new piston came today i just have to put it in now an get this nailed swingarm bolt out so i can put another in
had one last go at this engine before wrecking this awsome little offroader got new piston new gaskets good compression good spark new pickup new ignition coil still no start i nearlly smashed the thing im ready to snap with it
I think that's your last option tbh, seem's like you've tried/done everything else and still no-go. If CDI dosen't work, then insure the bike and make it dissapear, if ya know what I mean ;) lol
lol yes m8 . haha something that does get me though that made me think the cdi was opk is it worked with a backwards piston ya had to drag it with a car to get it started. then i tried my other bikes piston an barrel at 4 am fired up on half a kick. i go to bed chuffed my bike works. tried it in the mornin same old nothin. just a sore kicking foot. removed the piston an barrel put them back on the other one works like a dream. so iv just had a plan for tomorrow that ill try the engine cdi carb off the working one but its no ignition or kill swich it just starts of kick purly stipped offroad engine. So i gotta see if i can wire in a kill switch an lights just want an mot on it desperatly now
