14 , i would say on a road would be ragging it , as it would scream like **** easy , which you dnt want really , unless you dnt go that far like me ,as i live in a city so its all built up 20mph roads ect.
I need about 70 miles/h. Will 14t reach it? I live in a city, so I'm not going to travel with my DT, I need more acceleration for offroad/onroad rides.
I'm interested in power wheelies. As I understood, with 14t on front it easy done? :D I live in a small city, so speed is quite important to me. As I said, I need about 70 mph. So not so much.
I also have the bigass 520 conversion which i'm sure slows me down a bit but I know for a fact it got up 80 and would have done more. I've raced an 04 DT and left it but i'm not sure of his setup.
Not sure exactly the difference going higher but it's not that hard to experiment
i have standard back sprocket and size 15T front and have full DEP and have wacked Power valve open (earthed the wire)!
Changing the front sprocket from size 15T made a huge difference for my personally it does about 80 mph flat out but wheelies in 1st and 2nd without dumping the clutch!
Before it went off the clock which is 85+ mph....
I would be tempted to get a size 14T for the DTX because it is supermoto and would be good fun doing wheelies on imo
BTW i payed £5 for the sprocket from a local yammy dealer (brand new)

Cool mate :D That is what I need. I need to be able to do wheelies without clutch. I'm going offroad this year, and I need acceleration. At the beginning was thinking about 15t, but as you said, I won't lose so much speed as I feared, so will take 14t one.

yh, ok, so, ive just been reading all this, my DT gets 75ish on a good day and ive got a 16t front sprocket. i want too go 14t will this be ok? pretty sure my rear is standard aswell... :/
