ok bought a dt recently but last week mate was fixing it and after revving it for a while it started to leak from the engine, realised when we found this bit of metal it was a bit of coke can welded to seal the hole and the pressure had caused it to fly off

anyway mate said its gonna need a new engine but another mate couldnt you get it welded by someone who knows what there doing to seal back the hole??

Anyone know??

Do u need to weld steel or the casing coz if its the casing i dnt think it can be welded coz its cast alloy (**** quality alloy ) If it is alloy tht needs welding ur gonna need to find someone wiv a TIG welder , theyd know for sure if it can be repaired or not , failing tht u might be better off using araldite to glue a plate on to cover the hole.
