Ok, I've been reding alot on the Re-Jetting stuff on here, but, I have no idea what the heck it's all saying confuse

I have the original yammy carb, fitted with the standard jets, Carbon Reed Valves and DEP Expansion pipe wth crappy Big One rear silencer and I have no idea what Jet Size I need.. What Jet sizes do you need for the DEP Expansion, I'm 99% positive I need to re-jet because ... well... I had piston rape (changed very recently) and the bike is s**t in lower revvs and wont really go over 8.5/9k now (used to get stuck at 7 - 8k, new plug/coil sorted that)
cheers

w/e size comes standard, and the 220/240 does that mean changing both jets, or 2 jets of those sizes and try them both?

One or the other as the carb has one main jet. What year is your bike bud?

Just some other suggestions, you can also try checking the air screw on the carb is set correctly and the needle circlip is set to standard. I once has an issue with me bike bogging down it was a combination of a fooked screw and the circlip postioned as to let slightly more fuel in - once sorted it ran as normal.

It's 1993, I think by the state of the carb, it's that age aswell, will goto bike shop tomoz see what jets they got there. Are they universal, or will I have to get ones specifically for the DT? + I'll try the Airscrews first see how that goes
cheers for the help

If it is a 93 carb the standard jet is a 210. The jet will need to be specific to the carb/DT, so best bet is your yammy shop i'd say.

The standard setting for the airscrew is 1 and a half turns out, so turn it all the way in until it lightly seats, don't force it and then turn it out for 1.5 turns.

The standard setting for the needle circlip is 4th grove down from top.

I had to replace the screw on mine as for whatever reason it was butchered and jammed, £10 from my local yammy, hopefully yours will be fine but yeah it's something worth trying dude :)
Make sure the bike is warm and idles right if you're going to have a play around with it though.

According to dep upjetting isn't necessary, but you can always experiment with one or two sizes up and if no better results just return to 210.
