Finished the brackets for the DTX Brembo caliper, DTR Forks, and Brembo Disc, and thought I'd put pics up just in case anybody else wants to do the conversion, whilst keeping the DTR Forks.

u gunna sell them mate id be intrested in the one for the brembo caliper i cba to make my own as last time i tryed my dad was doing my nut in and im geting sick of swaping my forks ever when i want to sm my bike XD i prefer the dtr forks aswell there stiffer XD
Aye, no probs Toy, I'll p.m you Monday or Tuesday, having a rest up from the garage this weekend, you know anywhere thats got a DTX 300mm disc going cheap, so I can bang that on my DTR front wheel?
just thining about the brackets again and from the photos they look like there flat and when i was desingeing mine it needed a kink initi so the caliper still sits wer it should but just out more first photo is with standard disk and second with bigger disk the grey part is how the bracket need to look hope you understand what i mean lol
top job there nev thos brackes would be an awesome mod for us dt owners ; ) you could sell alot of thos! like steves jack up kits they sell like hot cakes lol wen can we see the finished product fitted and in action?
i have been thinking about my progress and i rememberd why i bought the forks and caliper in the end with the standard 1 pot caliper the bracket catches on the floating disk rivets so you need a non floating disk witch was about £70 when i looked if u look at the photo below u can kinda see wer the caliper needs to sit the floating part will catch
what about if you grind a lil bit outa the carrier to miss the rivets? i doubt urll compramise the integrity of it for the sake of a few mm. a floating disc is alot better than non itll be worth a try, iv got one of thos standard carriers toyman if u wanna try it?
i was thinking of grinding the carrier down aswell but dident think it would hold that well as you would have to grind the bolt down aswell and going offroad like i do the bolds might rip the threads out and to be honest the standard calliper is wank compaired to the brembo i want a twin pot on the front and might try and make a bracket to keep the twin as it is simply sick lol
i still have some 5mm metal i got for it last time so will make a template with nevs dimensions how much would u want for that carrier mate and ill give it ago when i get some free time
ok mate give me a few days as i might be geting some usd's really cheap that needs rebuilding and only have a few quite atm if i dont get them ill have it off ya mate =]
Thanks Trip mate. Some pics of the brackets on the forks, and caliper. The first is the bracket on the DTR forks, mines on the TDR 320mm disc, (the dimensions I put up earlier are for the 300mm DTX disc, so I'm 10mm further away from the forks, to the caliper.) and the single pot standard DTR caliper.
This pic is the bracket for the DTR forks, my TDR 320mm disc, and the DTX Brembo twin pot caliper. Again the previous dimensions are for the DTX 300mm disc. with my disc being the TDR320mm disc, I'm 10mm further away from the forks to the caliper.

hmmm nice work m8 im intersted in them aswell . was always put of sm converting cos id wana put my offroad setup back on easily if i wanted an changin the forks out what a misson. buying another frame to in the the next few weeks so may make a black or white sm out of it all
nice one nev tht second setup looks the dogs nads bet ur well pleased with that, and i bet the stopping power on that is beast! lol get us a pic of it all on from a distance so we can see it with all the bike : )
Cheers Bradders, all put together and working, ayeit stops sharpish now, have read somewhere to stiffen up the forks by changing oil. second go at bracket as first was too close to the pad securing pin for my liking. half a hole to the left by 5mm sorted that. bracket needs spraying now.
yea man all looks sweet tho, and for the forks u can alter compression rate by what grade of oil you use, thicker oil=slower comp ect also u can shim up the springs to put a bit of preload on them too, you prob already know this but thought id share it lol
i like the 2nd one with the brembo twin pot looks a beast.. so when buying sm wheels is there certain makes you have to stick to to fit the dt like tdr wheels or dtx wheels or could i just buy a set of rs125 wheels
Not sure if rs 125 wheels would fit Trip, maybe someone else reading would know mate, but when I got the TDR wheels, I also had to make sure I had the TDR front spacer (plus a 6mm extra spacer added to make more distance between the disc and fork), for the front, and speedo drive for the TDR, as I was going from a 21" front to an 18" front, and speedo calibration would be different between the two sizes, oh aye and the spindle too, thats slightly different. The TDR back wheel went straight on, no problem, but needed the DTR rear disc fitting on as the TDR rear disc is bigger.
wavey rs disc (theres a few types/patterns) this is the one i plan on getting or very similer in pattern >>> clicky <<< pretty sure the later 06 on rs discs are the same aswell goin by the bolt holes n diamiter ect also they all got that dish to them aswell same as ur one

rs wheels are alloys m8 and im not sure on disc outer dia' a google search will prob shine some light on that one? wouldnt really matter if the rs disc was bigger u could jus fab urself another bracket that hangs out a bit further==more stopping power...sort of lol
