can see why they put holes in it, the wind catchs the rad panels really hard when you get over 70! been toying with doing something similar as i do alot of duel carriageway commuting
cheers fellaz yeah ill look in to that stuff. i did fix the holes with a bit of grp, but since then iv snapped the original break again bloody final touches ,messin lol. think ill use an extra piece of plasic to back it up too tho like you say should sort it cheers for that idea m8.
Got a leaky top ring gasket to replace aswell now and the rear caliper seals were shot, just got some more but recieved the wrong ones ( too big ) then i have an issue with the engine power surging which iv narrowed down to the pulsar coil needin rethreaded to the stator plate bouncing around on 2 nailed threads held still with a bit of nail varnish lol.
Got a burst inner tube on mine so i nicked this ones rear wheel till my new tube comes in the post then got on a misson with my swingarm an suspension well its apart might as well strip the rest an do it properly ( not usually my thing im more get it done today no matter what kinda guy lol )
do it m8 cheap enough you can pick it up about 8 quid hamerite smooth over rust i think its called,, rekon it'll be pretty hard gettin ya hands on a decent 2nd hand tank tho ya just never know with ebay do ya.. someone may have one come up on here sooner or later tho ,,
new engine came this morning well impressed with it nice condition, i cant get a spark though cos i need some wires but iv got all the correct connections the cdi an coils an i dont really want to cut em up as i bought this engine for my backup lump for my blue one love to know how to get a spark from what i have without having to put the engine in my blue one atm
i do have another engine with a stator 91 cdi on a loop that runs with no keys or killswitch but the pick up coils a bit crud the threads knacered where the pickup screws to the stator made the bike psychotic lol. so i dont think pulling this flywheel stator an hotwired loom just to test this new engine is worth it its always been a bad starter, i think thats the culprit, but the engine as a whole is ok needs a +1 piston but i may just get rid of it as thatll be 3 dt engines sittin round
cheers m8 slowly ehh.. i know that feeling iv got another engine that i think im just givin up on too an it cant be anything serious cos iv used it its just to hard to get it starting of the kick for my liking. this ones goes sweet but im not a fan of these power valve servo systems it feels weak the bike meyows rather than GRRRRRRRRR the full power ragin bull .. the initail pulls ok but naa not for me servos gotta go i ride mine always just under 6k so my powers always a tiny throttle flick away i do like that loads more
ive only used a servo engine, in my road bike, the engin im working on atm is pinned, so i am looking forward to using it, ive gotta replace the crank seals and its just so much effort. :/
i bet m8 dont envy ya id probably buy another engine before attemting goin in the centre crank. power valve servo does work it just take the bikes visoiusness away
today iv taken the standard exhaust of my road one an whacked it on this beauty and it goes like shiz of a shovel beast but its not done me any favours all its done is tell me i really need another standard gutted front pipe... its big one front pipe iv dunked on my road bike ( i suppose it aint bad but it aint good you need to rag its ass off all the time ) loud as fook
