Serious issues.

Right, been having some bad issues. the bike just wont start. will kick over. good compression, got a spark, fuel getting to chamber. But nothing. ive tried all the usual things and even mr haynes is out of ideas. any help would be appreciated. :)

Also, can i take the cylinder and head off, and fit a piston cylinder and head from another dt125 engine? straight swap?

haha, nah, check all them. i did forget too mention. at one point, it started up. but would only go with lots of throttle. as soon as i let off, it would just bog down with lots and lots of bluey/white smoke. :O i dont get why its just started doing it though. and even then that was once in a thousand kicks.

get your bump start on imo, have you done any jetting mods that may have caused it to flood? Also, have you checked compression? With a tester of course, your thumb doesn't quite cut it lol.

Also, pop some pre-mix down the spark plug hole, that should give you some action.

something else to consider is a blocked jet, might be worth winding the air screw in a few turns to compensate, just to get her running to rule out other issues.

HTH!

well, stripped off the carb. cleaned it all... put it back in. wouldnt start... put the air screw in pretty much all the way, after like, 1000 kicks, it started.... revved bloody high though, undone the air screw a fraction and it just cuts outs... so itll go from 5000rpm idel, to nothing. but, it just like, bogs dwon, not instant cut out. did hear quite a bad snapping sound on the first kick though, didnt seem to do anthing. i havnt checked compression, but by thumb, seems good. lol. and no jetting mods...

one thing though, my air filter, does seem pretty oily. (nearly dripping 2T) and i cleaned it about 200 ish miles ago, and it had no excess oil atall for definite. :/ its soo confusing.

It got hot too quickly. wasnt excessively hot, because i know my temperature gauge never went over 72... Dont know what caused it though because i let the bike warm up properly.

i know eh. so, engine was rebuilt when i got it. 200 miles in, the engine packs up. so lots of money and a full rebuild later, it goes ok. 1500 miles down the line, this happens... aswell as this, my rear shocker is done for ( i have got a new one sitting about though) and my back brake is screwed. i also need new tyres.

just not my month....
