roadyz man any help needed just let me know

there are some bearings that you need codes for coz they are oneoff sizes

and seals that have to be double liped etc

if you let me know when your buyin bits il just give you the code and the cheapest/best place to get the parts your after...

this whole rebuild cost dtdan £240

if you think about the fact that the crank was fecked.. and that cost £75 all bearings are genuine issue ..seals ...circlips all yam etc you can see just how cheap weve done a ...   FULL GENUINE REBUILD with proper parts .....now that is cheapbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

if you need to remove your own bearings etc il show you how to make the tools with stuff youve got lying around (bolts etc) or stuff you can get for like £5-6 from any bolt shop

oh and we only used the haynes for torque settings etc

JUST TO LET EVERYONE KNOW ..THE HAYNES HAS SOME BAD MISTAKES IN IT THAT CONTRADICT ITSELF AND YAMAHAS WAY OF DOING IT/WRONG SIZES/DIFFERENT PARTS/METHOD /ETC...DONT TRUST YOUR HAYNES

by the way the guy in the pics is owner dtdan (UGLY BARSTARD LOL only jokin bruv ,hurry up and join the site man)  haha  he'll have somfin to say to that

enjoy

cheers dude

this isnt all the pics or they would of taken up about 4 pages lol

but you get to see most of the good bits

after putting the casings back together we noticed one of the bearings

was the wrong size and had to take it apart again furiousfuriousfurious

cleaned all the sealant off again/fit the correct bearing etc etc

and put it back together again smile

Its amazing mate but one good thing is, NOW of course you know exactly what goes on inside your engine, etc etc etc and you know everything is sweet, maybe I should have a go at this, cos I have always wondered whats going on in mine, when you drop the engine out the frame, is it heavy at all, or quite easy to pick up? As I am still learning, and fast didnt realise to drop the engine all you have to do is take a few wires out undo the engine bolts and its out, seems to good to be true

hey there patman

yeah its easy to pick up the lump

if you do have a go make sure you only pull the swinger bolt out just enough to

remove the lump as its easier this way

drain coolant and remove pipes

and your gonna have to remove the spark plug to get the lump out but put it strait back in when you have the lump out

and block everything off with rags

once youve done it you will do all your own engines smilesmilesmile

iv done loads of engine rebuilds but thought you guys might like to see this one aww

dtdan is well pleased with it ,it was his first rebuild and hes hooked now
