Love love love mate that is nice!!!! You should get saving for a nice shinney dep system, that would look even more sexier lol?!? & have you do any engine mods (derestricted anything)
You done nothing to engine well you got a shock coming mate it is 100% better to ride full power! And when you gut it & plug the extra exhaust pipe up, do the wire mod (earth) it makes a huge difference. Then take snorkel of the top of airbox then upjet to suit the mods then it will feal double the power lmao

On the standard expanny you will see like a rubber pipe coming of it, if i remeber correctly that is a catalytic convert thingy to lower the emissions for the bike to pass regulations. You will get a little plastic plug that come with the DEp system that you just plug it up with. I got my DEp fitted at local bike shop becuase it needed up-jetting & i dint fancy pissing around with carb so just let them do it all, and the took the hole thing off and pluged the left over pipe up and tooked it away so you carnt see it!
sorry for the really late reply, the material was just some standard neoprene sheets off of ebay, not the best for pillion though as they tend to slip and slide :/
on another note, i am opening this build back up as i have some cosmetics i am adding over the next few days, also thinking of doing something to the engine too, heard mixed views on the Athena 170 big bore kit im still not decided yet. woud love an extra 5 or so ponies though.
but yeah plans are as follows, upgrading all the levers, ordered a ZAP clutch mount and unbrakable lever in red, asv brake lever in red, got a front master cylinder off of an rs 125 with a brembo fluid res. looking for a nice long gear selector pref in red, need something a little longer than the standard dt one though as my boots are a pain in the a*se still. another thing, what can i do about the rear brake lever, are there universal upgrades available in anodized colours?
also plan on some fat bars but not keen on renthals, may go pro taper. any ideas whats the best price for some clamp converters? plan on making a nice dash too like steve has for his trailtech.

FYI you don't need lights to pass an MOT. So long as the instrument isn't there then it will pass!
So like if you don't have any lights and no controls your be fine. However if you don't have any lights but you have the high beam/ low beam switch then it'll fail as those components don't work.
I believe you need a brake light but not 100% sure on that.
you need a brake light but dont have to have an headlight, but without the headlight its only a daytime mot and you arent allowed to get caught out after dark which isnt good for me when i work 6am-6pm alot of the time
