I'm guessing no one like the idea of that amount of red?? What's your opinion?? ;) I'm thinking scrap the idea of red gear/brake lever and stay with silver to match the forks and swingarm?? What about the brake lines though, hmm?? :)

I love red and think those red bits could look great  .. just have to be carfull not to go over the top  ..... but if was me I would go as stupid as you wish with the red bits ? who cares what anyone else thinks  . if you like it and your happy with it then screw what others think ... be a individual not a sheep

Yeah good points there MDK, ay pretty sure it wont look over the top, It will hopefully look like ive spent a lot of money on it but nto gone over the top at the same time regarding the colour schemes. Yeah defiantly sticking the idea of having some of it red :)

Haha PINK!! biggrin Guess the chavs would feel less tempted to rob it if it was that colour, **** that then ;) I'd love to have one of them try to steal it, they'd leave with less things in there hand for sure ;) ON** ;)

Ay lads, little update, bikes with bradders now, bloke doing the powdering has only one shade of red (red found on seans bike) but not feeling it on mine, does anyone know of any cheapish places where I can buy some powder from, ideally the same colour to the red found on my petrol tank, but if not maybe a vibrant bright red if it comes to it??

Thanks guys

Another update, been stripped down to the frame by bradders and top end off, pics to show

Rust on the inside, strange

Original Piston

and the Frame

everything Soon to be sent off to the powder coaters, top end getting rebuilt, all the bodges getting sorted, More custom bits going on to it, wheels have been stripped already as far as i know and waiting for the stainless steal spokes and new nipples so that he can rebuild them and get them painted, so yeah seems to be going pretty well, Cant wait to get it back :D

That's bizzare. Looks like the head is warped then. That or you're using crap head gasket

Or maybe the head gasket was just blowing?

@Callum Genuine head gaskets can fail aswell, they are not indestructable..

Lol. You won't notice by eye that the heads warped. Can happen during overheating. If its warped even slightly it won't sit flush with the gasket letting gasses and water through. Hense the rust.

Ill get some more pics for you in a sec lads once I get home, so if its warped what does that mean/need doing to it then?? With my mechanical knowledge all I'm seeing is parts and rust and therefore can't see what's 'really' worn etc, know its not me working on it I'm just intrigued to know haha, give us two secs and ill get up the pic of the power valve, guessing that's in bad condition as well from what you put bradders

Yeah they will do that no problem for you mate.

Get in touch asap to get the ball rolling as you what they are like beach long, long beach and all that

when it comes to their turnaround its not brilliant, that side of things kinda lets the company down disbelief

Shame really as they would proberly get more work if that side of things was sorted out
