I have just recentley bought an 88 dt and could do with so advice with re-jetting the carb. The power valve is set fully open,hy tech reeds fitted and standard exhaust hes been gutted.I used to have one brilliantly set up back then but can't remember what jets needed. All advice would be gratefully recieved thanks.
Most of the people on here use a 240/260 jet. I'm currently thinking about testing out a 240/260 as i'm running a 210 at the moment. Best thing to do is to find a steep hill, start at the bottom in first and pin the throttle wide open upto about 3rd/4th until you reach the top, kill the engine and do a plug check, if you're plug is clear your running rich, if it's a chocolate brown colour your fine. Hope this helps bud!
Cheers was lookin for a size to work from, sorted now cheers .Thanks for that I couldn't remember what size I used to run ,there again it was over 20 yrs ago !!
