On the dt-re model it is a type of block connector with (I think, carnt remeber) 4 wires going in an only 3 wire coming out! You pull the wire that is doing nothing and earth it to any metal but make sure there isnt paint an it is metal e.g frame

without up jetting with a new pipe you risk a probable lean seaze, most common issue with 2 strokes is modding for power and not allowing more fuel

like you say , the pipe allows the bike to perform better, theirs no restrictions anymore and no cat in the pipe, so more fuel is needed. I cant say what you need to up jet to, but a common guide is 10-15% increase (example is i just fitted a pipe to my aerox, i up jetted from a 76 to an 86 allowing just over the 10% bracket)

As for top speed etc. the dt full power probably only puts out 20bhp at the rear wheel, my rs is probably putting out 24bhp rear wheel with a 24mm carb and arrow chamber etc. The gp bikes put out around 45bhp but are completely useless under 8k revs lol

20bhp, with full power? I reckon thats debatable mate, I could have sworn i've read on a few articles regarding specs that it becomes around 30-33 when fully de-restricted from 14bhp as standard, and especially with the older engines, with the newer type to around 28bhp, fully de-restricted, 33bhp being roughly equal  to the Aprilia 125 Rotax engine.

Oh and 33bhp, doesn't mean speeds of 100mph+ my xt600 has 45bhp and will only do 100mph top speed but fookin fast getting to it.

These engines state 30bhp most places, at the fly wheel. In real world terms they put out around 20-22 rwhp.

a freind of mine has a rs125, ported and fitted with many race parts and its been dynoed at around 32bhp rear wheel

You mean the Aprilia rs125 with the rotax 23 engine?

As soon as mines run in I'm putting it on the dyno, I'll see then how many horses its got then.

Oh and when I get round to it, I just need a choke cable conversion from the choke on the carb to handlebars, the boost bottle is ideal to tap into,  you need the choke cable to richen up the fuel mix, as running NOS leans it right up, which is where most people go wrong. Be interesting to see how many horses this would add mind.

Got it from the states a while back, me n lad were going to bang it on an old scoot we had but sold it before we got round to doing it, aye have seen it on those mini motos, and even those little scooters with the little chainsaw engines on them, by fook it makes a difference too, ideal for traffic light starts I suppose, nowt else. You tubes got a few of them on it.
