over heating and stupid red light ):

my 56 plate DT125R is getting realy hot (im talkin like 1 min standing 3 mins moving) and the engine heat warning light thingy is always on also its using alot of coolant.

ive replaced the head gasket and and most of the gaskets and oil seals but the daym light wont got out and i wont stop using coolant HELP!!!!!!

Note: before i changed the head gasket the was oil in the water and it was getting realy hot, could the engine temp light be because it has cooked the sensor or sumthing along those lines ?

Also check that your rad is working properly, if your head isnt warped and no leaks, sounds like a rad problem. Not sure about sensors tbh

the gasket kit i got is from a genuin yammy dealer, the head is fine so its either the rad or the oil pump, i was told removing the thermostat with allow a constant flow of water so it wont overheat AS MUCH ? i will try this to see if it resolves the problem for now untill i can get a pemenant fix

aslong as theres plenty of anti freeze in the cooling system it cant seize if i keep toppn it up now and again the water is evaporating from the rad cap and its also pouring out of the overflow pipe ?

if i wer you m8 id get the head skimmed jus to be 110% sure, check the rad isnt blocked by disconnecting both pipes n whack a hose pipe in there check the water flows through freely, try taking the thermostat out completely n run it without one, and check that the water pump is ok , impeller blades and drive gear on the back,

big give away that the head is warped no matter how many head gaskets u replace if the head is warped then it will continue to blow coolant out of the expansion bottle
