When i go out on my dtr i can ride it for under 2 minutes then it stops, i thought it might be something to do with the air filter, but i replaced it & it's still doing it. Then i thought it was the spark plug & replaced it & did it again. It's a little smokey but that's from the last owners putting ****ty 2 stroke in it, Although it does stink of petrol when it's reving. The choke's off when ridden so it's not that.. Any ideas? Thanks!!
Clean your carburettor out whilst its not working, you might find that the jet being well cleaned and the carburettor having a good clean will sort your problems, also check the reed valve block etc for leaks, strong smell of petrol could be that.
