Clutch basket measurements

Can someone with a clutch basket laying around help me with some measurements ?

I want to know if a DTR125 clutch basket is the same as a DTR200.

The part numbers are close but not exactly the same.

DTR125: 3BN-16150-01

DTR200: 3ET-16150-01

Everything else  in the clutch have the same part numbers (ecxept for the springs), so I'm hoping the basket is the same.

Here's what I need.

The 21mm and the 18mm dim's are the same and the gear has 16 teeth. However, your 37mm dim is 44mm on the clutch basket I have here. Just to be clear, the 37mm dimension is the inside diameter of the big disc that is riveted to the back of the clutch basket?

No, the 37mm is the size of the gear, I should have been more clear.

If you have 16 teeth then our gears should be the same but I measured it  just in case. As long as the bushing is the same then the gear can be pressed out and changed.

It would mean that I can buy a used 125 basket and not have to spend ridiculous money on a new 200 basket.

If you can confirm that measurement then I'll be super happy.

Yes, the measurement across the gear teeth is 37mm.

If you are loooking for a DT125R clutch housing then I will sell this one as we are now selling both DTs and all the spares. PM me for a price if you are interested.

They seem the same but are different. The gears on the back are totally different and also the gear axle where the basket goes to is bigger.I have 200 motor and the gears from the basket are broken.I tried fitting the 125 basket but wouldn't even go around the axle.

P.S.I will take a photo both of the baskets to compare them.

Sorry...

I have a dt200r 3ET 1989 but the basket is the same with the previous dt200lc 37F which is also the same with the yamaha blaster atv.If you look on the american ebay there are some baskets.

What is the problem with your basket?

Looks like I have the original basket, I had to file the fingers because they were heavely grooved. It will be good for another season, then I'll be looking for another.

I read the Blaster basket have a bigger center shaft.

I was hoping the 125 was the same simply for more choices.

Thanks for the info guys.

I ve got some pics for u.They seem the same even the hole  but it can't be fitted on the gear axle just for a 0.1mm.The only defference is the gears on the back.As long as the gears on yours is ok then you can buy dt125 basket and swap the gears with yours.I checked also the part number for the blaster and the basket is different from the dt 200r.I thought it would be the same cause mine has stamped on it 37F.I can't find anywhere the dt200lc partlist so i can ceck if is the same with that model.

The one with te broken gear is the 200 one

Hi Dan,

I went through all this search for a compatible basket myself. I ended up using an american DT200WR which is compatible. The Dt125 one is a good option if you're able to change the gear.

Figures, the only part (outer gear) I didn't check is different.

Thanks Gasto.

Erbisa, good to know, I just checked pricing for a new WR baskets from the States and they are not bad at all.

Thanks for all the info guys, much appreciated.
