dtr wont rev high please help

i had a four stroke once and had set the timing slightly out and it used to exactly the same thing but dont know if the same would go for a 2 stroke becuase theres only ignition timing that can be set and its only one position, unless you dont have a woodruff key fitted

whats a woodruf key? it only happens when powervalve opens sometyms itl fly then nearly throw me over handlebars

when you put your flywheel on the woodruff goes onto the shaft and the flywheel slots onto it, so it stays in that position.

nah it cant be the woodruff key, ignition timing wouldnt do that.

id disconnect the powervalve then see if it does the same

how do you disconect it? this is my 1st 2stoke so dont no much about them. thougt it was reed switch in speedo bt disconected that 2day made it slightly beta but still jerky and resistent????
