take the cover off and im guessing you should be able to use a pair of mole grips to screw it out

It's too far in.. There is nothing i can grab onto at all, i think i'll probably have to buy a set of extractors.. Lucky i have a spare bolt really!

I don't see how else you could get it out other than using an extracor set. My nephew was trying to change his chain and sprockets on his CBF125 today and snapped off one of the bolts that holds the front sprocket on. Went and bought an extractor set, spent ages carefully drilling the bolt breaking one drill bit in the process. Got the extractor tap thing in and as i put the pressure on the wind it out, the tip of the extractor snapped off in the hole i'd drilled - b0ll0x! New sprocket and a waste of my time and the money on the set! It is tricky even with ther set!

could you get a tiny dot punch in and just gently try and tap it around

I finally managed to get it out after a lot of persuasion and about 20 drill bits.. Had to buy a screw extractor set as well, but im sure that may come in useful in future so im not too worried! Thanks for the advice guys!

I just hammered a flat bladed screwdriver into it and unscrewed it,
Took all of 5 minutes
