bought a second hand 2 stroke pump fitted to my bike how much 2 stroke should it pump ? constant or dribble ?????

The flow rate is set and can't be adjusted so whatever comes out of it is all you're gonna get. It should be a constant flow with no air bubbles. Don't leave the pipe off the inlet manifold too long cos you'll sieze it up.

just seems like a dribble but a contant drip ? will it cause a vacume wen its conected to the carb (1990 old )

It shouldn't be loads - the pipe just fits onto the stub attached to the inlet manifold. The 2 stroke oil then gets sucked intot he engine from there. When it's running and hot, if you get a bit of smoke out of the tail pipe then it'll be fine.

the nipple for it is on the carb it does not have it on the older ones ?

mine is a 1990 and it goes on the inlet

does yours have a round slide carb or flat slide carb

does the top of your carb screw on like a bottle lid

or is it flat at the top with two screws holdin it on

sorry to say it mate but its got the wrong carb on it

all the settings will be different coz of the 2 stroke goin in the carb instead of the inlet ,and the jets will all be different,air screw etc etc

the lack of power under 7000 rpm is the power valve pinned open your only gonna get full power with the servo on it

but i think your bore still needs doing

any pics of the engine will help confirm what it is they have changed

could just be the carb and inlet or could be the whole engine

i need to see it

stick some pics on here and i can try and help

if its set up right then someone has found the right way for that carb

if its not you gotta have it tuned in or fit the right carb and start with the original settings
