y0.

Picked up a 2002 DT125R couple of weeks back, 1 previous owner and has just had a full rebuild.

Ran it in for 500 miles and have now started giving it the beans. I have fitted a dep end can, taken out the reed switch and cut open the pipe and removed the restrictors and cat.

But still when i get to 8000 revs the power just drops off suddenly?

Any ideas?

which front pipe you got on there m8 i got 2 standard xpannys an they both perform diffently the old original xpanny with one restrictor ring removed sounds deeper has more top speed ,, then theres my other newer original xpanny thats been cut an welded sounds tinnier like a crosser an has slight more umphh when the powervalve kicks impretty sure both pipes only rev up to 9 k tho yeah most power from 6000 to 8250.. not gonna check an see just yet m8 cos im still running in my new top end.

like toyman says are you runnin a servo or not if not try fully opening the p/v or having it with a 2-3mm lip showing up the zaust port.. on a servo its not opening up enough theres plenty of previous post you find the info on setting that up right on ere m8
