Hey guys had to strip my engine down due to play in the crank
All is going well, found the bottum rings are seized in flush within the piston but the barral looks to be ok and there is no pick up markd on the old piston so all gd there
Now have any of you got any tips on removing the clutch hub without the proper tool?

if you have some old steel plates weld a bit of bent bar to it its hard to get a grip on it really in any way as therte not much room to get stuff in to wedge it get a mole grip type clamp off ebay
iv always used the same guy on ebay for bearings, but like suzuki and honda some of the engine bearings are thinner than std size 1mm so they need altering by sanding disc on a grinder, im just stuck in my ways tho and have all the tools handy to use so thats the way i doit dont see the point in spending money what dont need to be spent lol £17 each for the main bearings iv seen cheapest i paid £15 for both main bearings and seals, used the same bearings in all my engines n never had any problems with them any KG NIS BRAND BEARing are fine to use in engines
What's a clutch holding tool for? Whenever I've took my clutch off I've just got the right size socket on it and put the longest bar I could find that would attach onto it, put the bike into gear and get someone to hold the back brake down and stop the bike from moving whilst I undo the clutch nut I've never used a clutch holding tool nor have I ever needed one
Could removed clutch first but didnt kno i was going to rebuild engine just thought a sprose up wich involved taking the swing arm out for a respray whiles i wait for cdi unit to arrive
Oh well will pop to the bike tomow to get the tool
