This bike was used in the dirt and had an "off road plate", to use it on the road it must pass a Governement inspection, kind of like a colonoscopy...

Bike must be pretty well OEM spec to pass, no aftermarket goodies.

Once you have the plate you can then do whatever you want to it.

I already have my LED flashers on the bench and a tailtidy on order.

HAvE YOU JUST HAD TO REGISTER IT FOR ROAD USE??,

iv registered 4 mx off road bikes for uk road use and never had to have any ov them inspected altho they said i wud have to when i looked how to do it on line!!

all i had to do was put a lighting kit on it, insure it on the frame number get ins cover & an mot it then fill in a v55 form and take to dvla tax office to get it stamped

pay £70 there and then and got tax disc & logbook in post in 5 ish days

i just wunded if some one had told you u needed to get it inspected and thats all you new about it mate as i also hav mates who have done it and neither of them have had an inspection

only think iv seen get an inspection date is a kit car

It will be cool to compare an old DT200 with a newer DRZ, they have about the same HP, the DRZ weighs more but has better suspension and SM tires.

I think it will be like comparing our YZ vs WR, one was great in one area and the other in another.

,,,and at least your DRZ is blue or I wouln'd be riding nowhere near you biggrin
