same sorta thing just happend to me on a new rebore, i know how ya feel.
Think mine was my own div head fault tho either old piston pieces outta my zaust got sucked into the chamber or i ran it to lean using the middle needle clip in the carb no damage to my cylinder luckily but my heads gone a bit like yours

I was told a plug chop is when you rag the bike up to 3rd or 4th gear then while the engine is still at high revs, hit the kill switch and pull the clutch in, then once stopped, check the plug. That way you get an accurate reading of the plug when the engine is under load, and at most risk of going wrong.

Some say that a true plug chop entails a cutting off of the threads to reveal the white porcelain insulator at its base , the colour is revealed as a band a few mm thick at the base .

Yeah but the plug chop is exactly the same just that you want to get the bike running at its peak performance!

Yep full wack then chop the Throttle and clutch it ,also the colour should be checked right down in th hole not the tip, only racers would cut a plug down for a realy good look but they r highly tunned lumps
