what tools  do i use to bore out the inlet manifold rubber? i am trying to fit a biger carb.

you could try one of those flap wheels you can get for a drill, i think someone on here did it that way

or those dremel sandpaper drum things then sand it smooth after

id get a metal manifold made up if i was you

I swear I just used a carving tool. Knife or stanley knife. Just gotta be careful

cool thanks i took my manifold to work gave it a lil blast with a dremal. but left it thair over the weekend so i havent done any more dremal was crap thou i started to use a knife.

sliped with me knife and split it. dam. i had left the flap bits on it thou just took as much rubber off as i could coz every 1 on this site seems to think it is risky to taper it bk like that.but if it kneeds doing ill do it. also i spoke to a mx mechanic and told tom what i was doing and he told me it would not work cos a larger carb would reduce velosity to the engine and i would need to put a smaller jet in to compnsate. to witch i replied you mean bigger jet more air needs more fuel and it will work coz a few peps have already done it. please tell me i am wright and didnt make meself look like a massive di*K.

if its massive you will loose velosity, but putting a smaller jet in has nothing to do with that

ok thanks. no it not masive 35mm. so should be ok cuz i have copied you and cut the top of my air box out. and have stuby my can. so it sounds good. now i just want it to go good too.
