I never noticed a difference going from a 210 to a 240 on my 04
And also after doing the so called "inlet" restriction it only made my bike run slower..
Jetting should only really be done if you're playing with the amount of air your bike is taking in (removing the snorkel, cutting the airbox to bits for example)

Thanks, it did 80 before and I've recently changed the rear tyre from a 90 to a 110 with big knobblies on.... Think that could be where the speed has gone due to drag? Just thought of trying a bigger jet and prob filter to gain a little .

When derestricting your exhaust or using a gianelli, dep or anything like that, you should get a 240-250 jet. Or else you will seize. I did.

You wont notice any other difference than your engine not seizing.

It's got a 240 in already. But I've come across a big problem now. Looks like somebody had played with the mixture before and chewed the screw and threads to bits! Just spent the past 2 hours trying to drill it..... Looks like a new carb is needed or the part at least. Doooh!

It's chewed all the thread on the housing as well so no way of getting it out. Will have to get the housing as well . Will any dt carb fit any bike?
