oil coming out the crankcase breather???? help please

hi peps

 

does any one know why the above is happening , I am stumped and it costing a fortune in oil.

How much we talking about here :| Cause I snapped the drainage bolt on my DT. This fastens up the casing to the engine and stops oil from leaking. I haven't fixed it now it just leaks a little. Nothing to worry about for me as it leaks so little and only when it's warmed up (as the oil becomes less dense).

I am talking about  a leak of about the size of a pint glass on the ground every time i stop and park upa

thats a good leak, only ever seen it on 4 strokes when rings are worn allowing blowby and pressurising the bottom end blowing oil out breather !

never seen it on a 2 stroke lol

deffo coming out of the breater on top of the cases

yes its coming out the whiteish plastic breather just behind the tacho housing on the top of the crankcase. It might be the rings , I hadnt thought about them.  will have a look over the week end, the more i think about it it has been harder to start in the last week. thanks for getting back to me so quickly

I think i have the3 same problem! but i thought it was comming out of the rubber gasket on the righand side casing. then... i could see the oil was comming from the front sproket then... i just found oil where my rev counter cable's ment to be... is this normal? like i dono...

it wont matter about the rings mate, the engine is seperate to the gear box on 2 strokes

could be the crank seals letting compressed air through pressurising the gear box tho, never nown it to hapen tho lol

thanks for the help guys,

thats it fixed now,it was a seal that was pulling in air,pushing the oil out the beather. the wallet is a bit thinner now but at least the girl is now running, happy days
