I tried to buy some  Boysen race reeds for my DT125R 02 from an American company called ehimports. I paid for them 4 days ago but recieved this message

our deepest appologies you did contact us about years and i did say we had all years, however i did not realize that the dt125r was made in 02 it was not made in america those years so boyeseen does not make it thanks

So my question is can I get hold of these or not or will I have to go for summat like Hi Tech reeds ??

If you run a restricted stock DT use the stock fibre glass ones, I use the hy-teck carbon ones as they are beneficial if you have a tuned engine, I have the full DEP exhaust system, a 32mm upjetted Mikuni, 2mm overbore, gas flowed and ported barrel.

Came across this on the net.

These reeds will give your bike superior performance over stock. Compared to standard fiberglass material, carbon fiber is more resilient, allowing greater air velocity, increased flow and enhanced efficiency. Reeds are often over looked and DO require replacing over time so heres an easy way to gain some new found power from your 2-stroke motorcycle or ATV.

Just fitted the Hi Tech carbon fibre reed petals & can happily say they have made a difference obviously not more speed but definately more responsive and helps you get to the next gear change better. When I did alittle Greenlaning this afternoon the response felt better on the lanes I tried. TBH I didn`t think they would help much but they have. There is a mixed opinon on reed petals but I can honestly say they have helped. Big ups to you NEV for pointing me towards the Carbon ones Cheers m8 smile

Nice one Ralzy, you could've probably said the same about Boyesen ones, but paid a few bob more. I'd say makes more responsive too,
