Nath, look some of them WR125's up. Some lad had one that makes YT videos, a 125CC Typh was pissing all over it. I wouldn't want to be beaten by a 125CC fagped. It'd hurt my ego.

They're slow, and don't like being pinned like 2T's it'll blow up, and the engines are supposed to be a pain to rebuild the topend unlike the 2T's.

I haven't been watching this thread, I mixed it up with Shauny's rebuild. Will have a flick through now.

Mate i think you're forgetting that typhoons are rapid! A 125cc engine in something that weighs nothing. They're quick. And when tuned they are off the cuff. That said still a gay motor.

I had a 50CC Typh horrible bikes! Every time it needed work every fooking panel has to come off! The front one, the bottom one and the one near the seat, and to get the one near the seat off you have to take the seat off. Spend about 10-20 minutes stripping the plastics off before you can even start your job.

I've said it before, any 4t over 250 is where the rear torque hits and they turn into beasts

I guess if u get the gearing right and the right set up for cogs it will pull like a 2t dt. Agreed on the wr vids they Sean to pull well. Lets be honest tho.... The difference isn't huge in the grand scheme of things.... And being beten by a fagped is ok coz when ur riding a bike like naths us look cool pretending to to care lol. My friends have r125 and they are quick, and the engine is the same right? Just different gearing?

most peds once you strap a 17s bore to them they will be neck and neck or even beat a dt if they change the rollers

Ill just have to see what its like when its built. Ive watched wr vids on youtube and they dont seem that slow... not rapid but not slow. Exhaust systems make them sound less lawn mower like and more thumpy.
Ive already decided I want an arrow end can. I'll fab the system up at work from stainless, brap.

Haha love it, at the end of the day, fair play to you/him and each to there own and all that, should have stuck with the dt engine or something bigger and better than the dt engine if your gonna put thst much work into it but either way good on ya mate for being 'unique' ;)

Thanks for all your kind words lol. That dt in the vid is pretty impressive! I know the engine isnt going to be as exciting as the dt but like I said in my earlier posts its to get me to work and back and its twice as good on mpg (on paper) in comparison.
When I sell it some one can stick a dt engine back in it :) or I may stick a yz125 engine in... for fun.

Yeah right. My standard, restricted dt pissed all over the r125.

Interesting project Nathan, its going to look smart! I have to agree with the others about the 4T lump though, but each to there own ay! Just don't try and overtake anything (even a little girl on a push bike!), as it is scary and dangerous!

For the love of god!! do not use that heap of a wr125 engine! someone i know,he has a wr125x and its re-mapped plus it has the full arrow system and airfilter and rejetted and the first time we went out on a ride he was bragging about how much "of a beast it was"....bitch please lmao my dtx had the snorkle removed and the wire earthed and he was topping out at about 65 to 70mph where as i was crusing quite happily at 80mph!

like i can pop my bike up in 3rd and thats the only two things ive done to it standard gearing aswell..where as i rode his tried to get it up on the back wheel too and it was having none of it plus that wr engine yeah, its good on fuel but its dog **** infact the whole concept of the wr125x is **** the build quality compared to a Dtr or Dtx is china quality the plus he has already had the waterpump seal blow on him once and now the valves are nocking and it only has 11,000 miles on it! where as my Dtx is pushed to its limits every day and its still going strong!! i can see by the post's you're very determined to use that wr engine..but seriously it will be the worst mistake of the whole build and you will realise this! you hit the nail on the head when you...said maybe if i sell it i will fit a Yz 125 engine, either that or the Dt engine there seriously not bad on fuel providing you dont thrash it but to behonest its part of the fun! and im sure the lads will agree..but its your build and im going to keep studying it either way! goodluck dude!!

**** the haters Nathan. You're not using it as a replacement for a dt, you're using it for work and commuting so you're not gonna have any expectations on it.

Is well made and will be unique, keep it up.

Hahahaha
It's the idea and project itself that's so cool, I don't believe this is some kind of tuning project to get max power... cuz if it were, I don't think he'd be putting a wr125 engine on..
It'd be rly nice tho, to put a wr250 enigne on hehe

but yea, it's sad the wr125 engine is kinda lame
