It's not about speed or power though miguel. he wants a one off nice looking bike that HE built that wont need constant maintenance and will happily cruise along to work and back every day. He has the brains and the equiptment to just about put any engine in this bike that he sees fit. So if months down the line he gets bored.. who knows :)
I agree. I've seen his work. I'm sure if he wanted to he could put a rip roaring RD350 YPVS engine in there. Can't see it being any more work that what he's doing now.
We've already discussed the poor engine choice. I don't think it's right to keep bashing it now. It's just getting spiteful. I mean there is constructive criticism. And then theres just insulting.
Haha, I just don't understand why people have to show so much hate, it's your bike, your plans. Crack on mate. Alot of people don't like what I'm doing with my car, or have done with my bike but they can go suck eggs because it's MINE. :D

As much as I love 2 strokes, I would rather have a well engineered and practical unique 4 stroke than a bag of balls 2 stroke that's 'rapid' but an unmaintained death trap.
if someone wants a 4 stroke they want a 4 stroke dude.
if someone wants a 2 stroke they want a 2 stroke
thats it at the end of the day if i wanted i could weld in a cr 500 engine into my dt but i dont want to my dt is what it is a 125 2 stroke and my 650 is that a 650 4 stroke id rather the 650 for the practicality but id rather the 2 stroke if i want to get muddy
baby fuel pump... its tiny and about the only bit I can use. Removed the level sensor and removed the black casing thinking it'll be something smaller inside...ummm no. its just got a massive float in it and its to big to fit the dt tank which is good because I broke it anyway lol.

Try and find a different one thats smaller and maybe one with a float.
Also, the mrs took a pic of me when I was messing around with it at the weekend. I look such a tool on a bike! It doesnt help that im a short arse either. Theres no headstock bearings in so thats why its got some huge rack on the front forks but its set at its future ride height.

Youre gonna be the guy at the lights teetering on the balance point whilst tip toeing haha! Either way though looks epic with those wheels and swingarm. Is the swingarm all in now?
Lol, I know and knowing me ill fall over. Nope... Still the same as when we were working out thise measurements. Need some money to buy bearings.
Cal, I genuinly think the bike as it is now with pedals and the tank fairings would be amazing! Imagine being pulled over by the police, no L plates and no helmet... Its a push bike officer.
Quotes come out the same for the DT and WR. I may struggle to find an insurance company that will give me cover with all the modifications though. I also dont have the engine numbers for the wr... As they have been removed.
