Cheers. What size bearing did you use Cal. My spacer stands 22mm high when pushed into the headstock, is that similar to yours?

Yeah that sounds about right. Maybe a little shallower.

20mm and the top bearing was 320/28 but that only if stem size and the inner diameter of your spacer is the same as calum used, if the stem is the same size the bottom bearing I used is a 32006 on a 1994 dtr frame.

Fits perfect so im happy I measured correctly, still enough room for the nut and washer under the yoke and enough thread poking through for the top nut. photo from the top with the inner alignment bush... no need for it but hey.

Also notied I will need to machine a 1.5mm recess in the bottom as the bearing inner doesnt sit flush with the outer case if that makes any sence.

no need for engine numbers av been pulled countless times and never once had the engine numbers checked their only bothered about frame numbers and if your good with a set of stamps just stamp your old numbers on it

Im thinking about it for insurance purposes. It will have to be declared as having an engine swap as its not an original part. V5 would have to show the engine number too.

I suppose I could be naughty and just stamp the orignal dt number on the wr engine and claim ignorance if questioned. Last thing I want is ending up having to claim from an accident etc and not getting a pay out/cover etc. On another note, sent the spacer off to be anodised gold, brap.

Im a bit pissed off as the gold is a different shade to what I was originaly shown by the anodisers. Its slightly darker than the hubs.

Haha that's quality!

Mate don't worry about that too much. You really won't see it much once the headlight and tank is all on.

Definitely a quality touch though

Finally standing without the aid of some boxes! Ride height set, damper part way back together and head stock assembled.
