Looks sweet mate! How much did the usd's cost in total? How hard was it to make them fit? I'm concerned about my forks and rear shock on this meet, theyll just be bottoming out all the time!

NOT TO BAD ATT ALL OR DEER

bought these forks

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150790286084?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_589wt_1139

bargain price lol

then got a drz 400 sm light/ brackets/cowl for £25 posted another bargain lol

had to get a bigger needle roller for the bottom

grind the top of the stem to take the dtr top bearing

then used an old wheel spacer under the top yoke and a cupla washers on top

all in solid and secure

then had to make 1 wheel spindle out of 3, welded a sleeve on 1 end then made a sleeve to bolt thru on the other side as the forks take a 20 mm spindle not the same as dtr,s smaller od 1

happy with the result tho

the seller had no idea what they were off tho so im stuck for pads really, typed the id number in and wasnt bringin any up

does any 1 rekognise the forks from the ebay listing???

i've used this site for tracing part numbers fella. type your part numbers in the box on the right and it should tell you which bikes they were fitted to...

You got pics of the yolks and stem showing the mods you've done? Might save some engineering work on mine. What type of old wheel spacer did you use?

tho top of the stem was ok just right size

the stem from about an inch doen from the top threds was to wide

so used sanding disc on small grinder to maker it same diameter as the top threds, to make it go thru the top dtr bearing races

then used an old cr 125 rear wheel spacer

or u cud just get some steel / alloy tube and cut to right lenth

then u put the yoke on top and tighten the top yoke down to hold all that together

theres no castleated lock nut any more under the top yoke, but whne the forks are in and the top bolt is torqued up theres no way owt can come loose

so is all safe and sound

just got to change fork seals when they come in post and stifen em up with some new oil and its road test timebiggrin

"had to get a bigger needle roller for the bottom" - was this a specific one or something you made up? Tried fitting mine together today, I see what you mean now, seems pretty straight forward to sort out.

thats the one i got the 30mm x  55 as the new stem was 30 mm at bottom, i just used the old dtr outer race as it was well stuck in frame lol

was in good nick tho plenty grease its smooth as silk smile
