Urrrrrgh, such effort. NEVVVV do you want some sumo rims for your XT lad? ;D Reckon I could get 3-400 for these tbh. Now I know what their from, being excel and from an 660 Supermoto! ;D Aye, went into yamaha and they have a WR125 in there, wheels were totally different and made by Saxcess and you say or something like that.

just change the bearings and centre tube in the wheels for ones from a dt and they will bolt up then its just bracket time

Dont let the fact they arnt a direct fit put you off. Try what toy suggested, if all else fails just speak to an engineering firm. Thay arnt as expensive as everyone thinks.

Ah crap I missed this

Yeah the WR never came with excel rims

I just had look on google and mine are definitely the right ones as I bought them with the forks as well which which have never come on any other bike - they do look different to mine guess it's the hubs

You can get them to fit no problem, even if it meant lacing the rims onto DT hubs

Custom work is much more fun and interesting than just bolting parts on anyway

So I went to the engineers today, he's done an amazing job on knocking me up spindles. Couldn't get a pick 'cos I didn't have my phone on me.

I basically challenged him to knock up an identical front to the original DT but with the correct spindle\bearing size. The rear I had him knock up one from another spindle I had from my brothers chinese piece of **** supermoto that thankfully was already the right size. Just got him to make it longer so it's the same length as the DT rear. Gonna go back tomorrow and pay for them, Go to the Yamaha centre where the mechanic guy told me I could have any part worns theyve got that will fit my wheels just so I can get them on the bike to work out what spacers I'd be needing.

All coming together now :)

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos £25 quid from lucky mx. Their from a 140 mtx pit bike. The guy threw in the front master cylinder for free :) Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos There may be a problem with the wheel fitment. With the Cush drive the wheel will sit over to the right too much. With the wheel central the bolts from the sprocket will foul the swimgarm :( Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos This is the caliber carrier side. No problem there. Although the new disc is 20mm bigger than the DT disc. But the mounting points look similar so I'm gonna have a play with that and see what I can do. Gonna polish the swimgarm and trick the old DT out whilst I use the current one as a daily hack. :)

Super thick spokes too, so less than you'd normally see on a wheel. Tey look sick, just think I might get too ****ed off with working out how to do the rear without it being off centre and not hitting the swimgarm. :(

Luckymx in google dude. You won't get them for the price I did mind. The brake lever doesn't fit standard dtr master cylinder though. So you have to buy the whole set up. It's about 50 quid

looking good bud,the wheels a ****ter though? i reckon there's two options. 1st is have someone re-lace the dt hub to the xt rim OR speak to your egineer and see if he can get the wheel on a lathe and machine it down hmm defo not gonna fit otherwise. i'd be thinking dt hub/xt rim

****ing Cush drive is a pain in the ass. I'm thinking cut down the bolts that hold the sprocket on and see if that gives me a few more m.
's toward getting it central. I'll have a go at it tomorrow
