So i've had this rattling sound on my bike for a few months or more it's not blown up yet but i was wondering might this be a sign of the big bang? sounds like it's comming from the exhaust pipe i got a dep can sounds kida tinny. but the rattle sounds like as if a nut is loose?

Just gave it a ear check with my ears ;) it sounds fine when i rev the bike on stand but when i ride out over 40mph on high revs it starts to rattle cheers bro! when i'm back where going on a ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 6th june init. Planned it with nath so he knows aswell get some ofyour stokey riders out if you can make it big! much love
Yeah baby!!! Not too sure though man could be clutch rattle or the peice of plastic under the kickstart return spring may have snapped ooooor maybe your bearings are worn, your guess is as good as mine atm bro! Soon as you're back we'll have a look :P hehehehe! Btw fixed my stupid slipping clutch today, gave her a qucik thrashing up the backdoor as a reward ;)
Mine's still got a rattle even though I replaced the main bearings and small end. Give up trying to get rid of noises, just going to ignore it and hope for the best lol.
And your shure your crank was fine ? and the rod ? For me, The small end was almost dented, So every time i changed the small end litte needle bearing, the rattle was still there because the needle bearing was actually too small for the hole because it was so worn after the engine had been locked after a seizing, also it was old.
Yeah mate exactly what my dad said, he was like dont fookin start stressing over noises, wait for it to develop and go from there, only reason he said that is cause my bike is actually riding spot on atm pulls hard through all the gears as it should and am getting 80+ at a push according to my vapour which id say is more accurate than standard clocks? but tbh i dont give a **** about top end its a supermoto its not made for top end speed else id have bought an rs etc :p
My dt did about 85 mph according to the standard speedo, when it was pretty standard other than the gianelli. But yeah theese bikes arent made for speed, but the top speed on them is just fine.
I tried pressing it for top speed today, And i did get a bit over 85, the speedo doesnt go further, But i really felt that thats the max speed to, i heard the engine didnt have any more to give.
So im guessing my top speed is about 85-90 mph Standard sprockets.
My dad also told me not to stress over noises, But hes a cheap bastard, and didnt really want me spending money on a new crank and stuff. even though we both heard that it was def some rattling coming from the engine xD
I took him out to the garage and showed him how the magneto moved up and down. So i said " I think i better get a new crank and bearings " and then i finally agreed xD
