crank seals...

HAS ANY ONE NOTICED THAT ALL THE CRANK SEALS THAT SHOPS ARE PROVIDING ARNT THE RIGHT ONE FOR THE RIGHT HAND SIDE

IT SHOULD BE A TWIN SPRUNG RING ON THE INNER AND OUTER, NOW THE LAST 3 SEAL SETS IV BOUGHT HAVE BEEN THE NORMAL TWIN LIP WITH JUST THE INNER SPRUNG LIP

THIS IS WHAT WAS RONG WITH MINE THAT GOT NICKED IT WAS LETTING TRANNY OIL IN ON START UP DUE TO NO PRESSURE TO SEAL IT WHEN KICKING

THE OEM ONES ATE NITRILE RUBBER COATED TWIN SPRUNG

JUST A QUICK RANT LOL

The inner diameter is bigger and doesn't seal correctly!!!

Got a seal set from PJME today, The right hand seal is as you desribed-single sprung ring only.

I am going to give them a ring and mention the fact it should be twin sprung.

I purchased a set for a tenner off of ebay and am hoping it is the right one (looking at the pics you can see it has twin springs)

Just need to figure out which way around to fit it :)

The first picture shows the two side by side.

I think i may need these as i just done an oil change and i only got 300ml of oil out of it do you think the other 450ml had been leaking into the cylinder and burning. The bike is running fine and is not smokey once warmed up so i refilled it with 720ml of oil and its now bang on i,m going to keep my eye on it though to see if it starts going down again.
