holy crap that swingarm makes the dt look tiny lol looks sick thou was it hard to fit? =] looking nice with the swing arm sm wheels and forks man just a little left and will look sick
Cheers! It was a mare fitting the swingarm. We had to grind the linkage to fit. Should be worth it tho, it weighs nearly half the DT one with it being aliminium and it now has a twin pot caliper on
It's the same width if I remember correctly. The wheel fits straight in aswell. I'll have a look at the weekend to see if the original caliper fits, I think we we're toying with the idea of making a bracket at one point but it seemed pointless with this brake already on it.
Id like to know this aswell,
Easy dtlp, bike looks sweet as :)
Ive been looking at doing a 250 rear end but after seeing this i now want it,
Was the shock the only problem/modding needed to fit this, and is that a dt wheel on the rer,
If you could upload any more pics of the rear end, close ups that wuld help
I used the original linkage, just whapped the grinder out to make it fit. Had to take the corners off and it now it fits like a glove! I'm pretty sure it's the same swingarm from all YZ's/WR's so they are easy enough to pick up.
The wheels are both DID Dirtstars. 16.5" on the front and 17" on the rear and both had to have little shims to fit over the axle. The forks are off a KTM 250 SX and took no fitting at all, just had to get the bearing to match up and a tiny shim made to fill the gap.
I'm currently in the middle of putting a 4GW loom/stator/CDI on so I can wire in an electric start etc.
Considering this bike started life as a TDR125 (3SH) it's came a long way!
The original shock is still on but the bike was HUGE so I opted for SM wheels. I have the WR shock to go on but i'm going to have to move some stuff around to make the chamber fit.

is that where the linkage bolts onto the swingarm?
and tell us more about the forks, dt bearing on ktm spindle? and shim in the top yoke?

That's the one!
I'll have to have another look at the forks and get back to you on that...we did it months ago. I forget which bearing we ended up using. But yeah...shim on the top yoke.

cant wait to see it finished mate keep it up, make sure u do all the ods an ends as the final small items make it 100% better
loving the anodised yokes an WP usd's
just an idea what i did on my mx sm's i cut a recess in the fat bar pad so the trail tech vapor/speedo u have sits inside it, makes its loads tidier looks abit odd with it sat on 1 side...just an idea each to there own i no lol
