hi all, a few days ago i bought a dt125lc mk2 frame and logbook very cheap with a clear hpi report, and as ive got a offroad dtr lying in my shed what i converted to an re model, ive now decided to strip it and put it all on the 86 frame so it can go back on the road (didnt realise how different the 86 was to an 04) but nothin a grinder and welder wont sort :)

i started off by roughly trying the swing arm which lined up but other than this the other mounts was a bit out so i cut them off IMG-20120612-00160.jpg

i then had to drill the swing arm bolt holes bigger as the newer bolt is thicker, then i had to grind a fair bit off the swing arm bushes as the engine wouldnt fit into it, everything except frame and engine is coming off an 04 thats how far i have got so far also the under linkage hight adjusters are to long so the swing arm sits to high, il get shorter onesIMG-20120612-00167.jpg IMG-20120612-00164.jpg

I'm gutted myself I done the hardest part of it fitting the engine swingarm forks etc but never got round to finishing it all it needed was a few brackets moving here and there but I just didn't have the time to spend on it anymore :( the only thing I was stuck on was the re tank was too long for the frame but I could of used the 86 tank I suppose, it went to a good home so may be back on here hopefully
