10 and 30 are the are the tickover and mixture screws, the extra things in there are 1 tiny washer and 1 tiny o-ring in each without these intact you are gonna get major problems, but you could just check with the wd40 ,let me know if this maches yours .....

Also number 26 is a filter it goes in the fuel intake spout ,just pull the fuel pipe off and it's down in the hole ,you don't need this ,just use an inline filter as yours could be blocked

yhyh i changed the tickover o ring but there is no mixture screw, all the inner parts are exactly the same but the carb body is a little different; here ill get a pic up

dsc0039fo.jpg

on the tickover screw theres an o ring and a metal washer then the spring, i stripped it all down mate. done this before just on a 4 stroke. tuning's alot different though

That is so strange !it looks like someone has changed the intake part on yer carb, did you replace the little screws holding it on or did it come like that???

Karny, have a look for the model code on it, it's either etched in the carb in that square recess above the throttle adjusting screw, or same place but on the other side, I forget which side exactly.

I don't think the old ones were eched ,the numbers can just wear off I think so don't be supprised if it has no I'd marks but deffinatly check

As you can see ours has a vm 26mm carb the newer ones have 28mm ,nev mate is yours the 26 ?as I'm not 100% what year they changed it,the 88/89/90s all had different carbs and jets etc, even the standard piston size is different on a 1990 at 56.4 mm instead of 56mm so when you go to replace rings you end up with blow by

nah mate the vm is a round slide and ive got a haynes manual for our old skoolers. just the same as that^^^

ours is a tm- the flat slide

i think my top end was swapped at some point because i had a 3bn head. i dont even think the bottom ends original because the stamping was shoddy and you could hardly read a few numbers.
