Yeah, but I was kinda unsure if it would make any noticeable increase in power since it aint that huge... I didn't remove it when I was removing the big cat and I would rather not open it up again and making it look any worse if it woudln't make a huge difference.. But since everyone who didn't remove that cone thingy and only remove the cat says their gutted standard exhaust sux, so I will be cutting it open again then :P
I'll be cutting it here, right on where there are two weak welding marks from when it's been welded on spot from the inside (not seen in the picture).
btw it aint my pic, just took a random one from internet and put a red mark on where I'll be cutting :P

You are all spot on ,but it's not not gas speed it's restricting,it's sound waves causing positive and negative pressure waves, that stuff is sound deadening and makes the bike quieter and at the same time slooooower

Anything of that sort in an expansion chamber is classed as a restriction, because all it's doing is restricting the speed that the gas gets forced out and the volume of gas aswell.
Trust dude it restricts ,even th half moon things in pipes don't stop gasses it stops sound waves (or messes with them anyhow,) you need th whole pipe empty this way the walls are non restrictive and you will get th whole induction benefits ,expansion pipes are a black art only understood by few ,GET THE LOT OUT AND GIVE IT A GO ,u may need to jet it
I think you did actually in the other thread, but thanks again :D
I got lots of footage at home, gonna make it a short movie and put it on youtube later. Gonna try get a little bit more than just wheelies, maybe some offroad, or smthing, also filmed my buddies driving around on suzuki PVs like idiots everywhere even down the ditches :P Also caught the police in tape, coming round the corner like 1 sec after a wheelie xD soooo lucky, would have lost my license.. got loads of complains of the peeps living there same evening -.-
And another thing i that the weight difference on the standard pipe compared to dep or gianelli can be considered a tune up aswell, the Standard pipe weights like a ton xD
Well look at it from the bright side, you wont be worried about getting rustholes if the metal is thick :D then you don't need to spend too much time keeping it clean and treating it from rust :)))
Couldn't try it out so good since I need a bigger jet (about 240) , and it was rainy and dark
Now I can get it up in 2nd gear with the clutch with almost no pulling but I couldn't get it up in 1st gear without clutch, gotta try some tomorrow maybe with some hard pull also I think I can maybe get it up in 3d gear with clutch if I pull as hard as I used to in 2nd gear, not rly sure though
Max speed was about 120 against wind and rain, and maybe 135 with tailwind, but the weather was **** and I still need a bigger jet maybe I can get 140 I was driving trough the village where the roads are winding and I couldn't see a **** in the rain + I didin't wanna get aquaplaning
But yes, when I removed that other thing the performance improved, and also I got my DEP silencer today :)
I'm gonna try it out some more when the weather gets better, then I'll upload a vid off the acceleration just to see if you guys think it's full power now
