Hello lads As above what jet would you say in getting with this setup; Standard carb Stock 210 jet Dep expansion and silencer No snorkel Running with snorkel at the minute to make it run less lean but its still running a tad lean, presume others have the same setup as me so any advice will be great Thanks

Well the way to do it is buy a selection and start high and work your way down. Lean is not good at all so don't even run it without putting a higher jet in there. I'd start at 250 and work your way down.

240 seems to work best on dt's. think the later ones had a 240 as standard

Aye I'm on a 240, but on a bigger carb mind, also remember the needle notches too, as they often need moving up or down, depending on top, mid, bottom range throttle is affected by where it is.

Start back at the standard original notch first, I'd do anyroad. the higher notches on the needle richen up, the lower ones lean it a bit.

Ay thanks for your help lads, yeah I won't run it now until its sorted, but yeah thing a 250 is a bit steep so I'll go from 240 (cheers funky) and keep going down if needed including plug chops each time,

Nev, thanks for that, mate played around with the needle before putting the snorkel back on, he put it down to the bottom notch so that it sat higher whereas before it was on the top, is it best to change this back when I jet it or leave it where it is?? What does each notch affect, like bottom for example could be better bottom throttle range?? Thanks
