got started on the front caliper bracket, the one i had made before was shocking absolute ****e! plus that was for the yzf twin pot, i really wanted to use the 4 pot rs i got so heres a few pics of it coming together

found a nice big block of alloy kicking around so i made some good use of it lol, squared it up as it was a bit beaten up

hacked about an inch off it so it clears for the disc and pads

then slotted out a section for the body of it to sit in

thats all for now ill do more each day in my lunch breaks!

Nice mate.

I cant seem to get any pressure in my front brake at the moment.

Im pretty sure its not leaking.

It could be the dtr reservoir or it could be the brake fluid is contaminated.

cal i dunno if urs will be the same but on mine when it will be mounted the bleed nipple is goin to be at the lowest point, which is no good u want it at the highest point, when i evenyually bleed mine i will have to do it removed from the bike and twist it so the nipple is up to let the air out of the caliper as i bleed it , jus gonna need to put a metal plate in between the pads to replicate a disc lol, u see wat i mean?? air travels up in liquid so the nipple has to be up there for the bubbles to escape..

gonna be a head **** coz the caliper has to sit at a weird angle relative to the mounts on the bottom of the fork leg, hence why im making the caliper fit to the bracket first, itlle make it a million times easier, still not that easy tho lol

Im working on our rea at the mo bradley. It doesnt look as hard as the front. Going to have to chop down the old caliper holder first. But my engineer said he may need two attempts at it so ill most likey be putting an ad in the wanted section lol.

Yeah. Probably the wheel itself. The sprocket carrier is thin as it is. Not sure you'd really want to machine much off that!

Yeah. Going to be taken a few more measurements tonight then can start work on that rear bracket. What we'll probably do is machine the spacer down then affix a bracket to it.

Haha. If only mate. I only have one rear spacer bracket. And I got a feeling my dad isnt going to appreciate the extra work :(

Also I don't have access to fuk off blocks of ali lmao!

Don't worry. Ill give you all the specs so it shouldnt be too hard.

You do realise we are going to have to machine our wheels down dont you?

Or at least thats a likely scenario!

Yeah mate. Basically its just machining down the soacer ti move the wheel to the right. Since the wheel is wider.

The wheel is wider but the swingarm on the rs is actually smaller.
